Meet our Sales Experts
Hampton Peace
Broker-in-Charge
Married with two children, my life has been intertwined with DeBordieu Colony from my earliest memories. I was very fortunate to spend much of my childhood growing up in DeBordieu Colony and I have seen many, many changes here as both DeBordieu and I have passed the years. Professionally, I joined the DeBordieu sales staff in 1993 and became half owner of the company and Broker in Charge in 2006.
Perry Peace
Sales Executive
Perry has been in real estate sales since 1997 selling along the SC coast from Garden City to McClellanville. He proudly joined DeBordieu’s sales team in 2004. A graduate of The College of Charleston, he and his wife Wynne Kellett Peace recently had their first child, Perry Chandler Peace, Jr. Wynne and Perry enjoy all that the Lowcountry has to offer—golf, the beach, the outdoors (fishing in particular), boating, and their friends and families. Perry’s parents moved to DeBordieu in 1979 when he was 7 years old. “Growing up here was wonderful. I look forward to having my children enjoy all that DeBordieu has to offer.” If you ask Perry what makes DeBordieu so special, then you better have some time. It will take a while.
Troi Kaz
Sales Executive
With 25 years of experience in sales and marketing from Charleston, SC to the Outer Banks, you can rest assured that Troi knows the real estate market inside and out. Troi fell in love with DeBordieu when she started her tenure here in 1986 as Marketing Director and Membership Coordinator and eventually moved into Real Estate Sales. Troi is married to Jeff Kaz, who is the DeBordieu Club Controller. They have two children, Joey (a 17 year-old-musician) and Kelly, (a 13-year-old athlete). A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Troi is very active in the Pawleys Island community and in her church.
Tom Nichols
Sales Executive
A native of West Virginia and graduate of Marshall University with a Master's Degree in education, I spent 10 years coaching football and teaching history before starting a career in selling real estate in the Myrtle Beach area. In 1986 I was given the opportunity to join an experienced sales team at DeBordieu and sell some of the best real estate on the East Coast.
Geoff Groat
Sales Executive
What a pleasure it has been to live and work in DeBordieu! I joined the sales team in 1986 and have made DeBordieu my home ever since. In my “former” life I spent time working for the Library of Congress, became the Headmaster of a day school in Camden, SC, and was a partner in a retail business. I have seen many changes in DeBordieu over the years as the community has grown and matured. I truly believe it has never looked more beautiful than it does now as we see the third generation of owners enjoying all we have to offer. If I am not in the office, you can find me in the creek with a fly rod in my hand.
